What is it? This course is designed by academics and provides students with a theoretical and practical foundation to work in a range of health care settings. Students can either follow a wide- ranging curriculum or concentrate on a specialised area or ‘stream’ which can be named on their diploma. Streams available include:
- Public Health (Health Services Management)
- Public Health (Environment and Health)
- Public Health (Health Promotion and Social Care)
Who is it for? These qualifications are aimed primarily at people who wish to use academic study to deepen their understanding and increase their potential for career development. Health System Management students may already be involved in health management at district council or hospital level, or in research.

Prerequisites
- A first degree of a university or other institution in a subject appropriate to the course or in other discipline that has, in the opinion of the college, include a suitable preliminary training.
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- Applicants good professional English.
