| Introduction |
The overall aim of this qualification is to accredit candidate’s knowledge and understanding of the fundamental principles concerned in the preparation and publication of financial standards, ensuring the comply with International Accounting Standards and to the UK Accounting Concepts and Policies.
Aims of the Course
Candidates should be able to:
- Assess their competence and understanding in the legal structure of accounting for limited companies preparing published accounts to the recognised standards in both the UK and to International Accounting Standards.
To assess their understanding of the importance of maintaining accuracy, security and integrity in performing any accounting function using a manual accounting system.
Prerequisites
In order to satisfy the entrance requirements, l candidates must be at least 18 years of age or above.
It is recommended that before commencing a course leading to the IAB Level 4 Diploma in Accounting to International Standards the prospective students has already achieved the IAB Level 3 Diploma in Accounting and Advance Book- Keeping.
Alternatively, they should have comparable prior knowledge and skills acquired through paid or voluntary work experience.
English Language Requirements
- IELTS 5.5 (minimum)
- TOEFL 550 (TOEIC 776)
Qualification Awarded
When qualified candidate will be awarded with the certificate for successful of IAB Level 4 Diploma in Accounting to International Accounting Standards.
Mode of Assessment
Candidates will be assessed through an externally set and marked, three hours examination consisting of a series of four hand-written examinations
Awarding Body
International Association of Book-Keeping.
What Next?
This qualification will provide a basis for progression to the study of Accounting. Qualified students can opt to further their career by progressing onto higher level qualifications in accounting, book-keeping and finance courses, many of which are also offered by London Essex College

12-18 Months, Full Time/Weekdays/ Morning
