The temperature and the climate are very suitable for every individual; neither the temperature nor the weather conditions are too harsh to harm the inhabitants. The weather is very pleasant; the day temperatures are very comfortable; neither too high nor too chilly. The climate of London city, with very modest normal high temperature during summer; however there are certain times, where a certain odd heat wave prevails; however, this weather condition is an exception. The temperature becomes very low during winter and the temperature falls below freezing. London city has showers very frequently; but many a times, it is in the form of drizzle; the drizzle occurs year long. Contrary to beliefs, snow occurs during winters; but snow is not more than a few millimeters deep. The climate varies from comfortable to chilly in the winters. There is a mixture of apparel considering that there is a lot of multicultural mixing. In relation to the weather in London, it is preferable to carry warm clothing along with summer costumes. Students coming from warmer climates will find adjusting initially difficult; we advice student to bring warm clothes so as not to fall ill.

London city offers a huge opportunity for people to relax, including shopping facility. The shopping complex offers facilities that can be availed by student community. The timing of the shopping malls will suit the student’s college timings. Shopping malls or supermarkets are open from 8.30 am to 8.00 pm throughout the weekdays; on Sunday the time varies slightly; from 10.00 am- 5.00 pm. Some markets are open through out the day; i.e. 24 hours a day. London offers shopping complexes that offer specialized foods for variety of communities. Most shopping malls, supermarkets offer a lot of facilities ranging from events, parties, and community get together, weddings, and film and music organization. Students studying at London, will be able to keep them selves associated with there own community ; the city of London offers them all facilities they need to keep themselves refreshed after a day of mechanical studies.

Travelling in London is very safe and secure. There is an extensive mode of travel through trains, underground trains, buses, public transport systems. The taxis are called Black Cabs or Hackneys. These are recognized by the Public Transport System, and would provide guide to the fares and are authorized with license system. The city of London has been divided into 6 sections: Zone 1 covers the main business and shopping districts in the centre of London. The College is located in Zone 4. Students can buy daily, weekly, and monthly travel cards that give them access to the buses or to both buses and underground trains. For obtaining monthly travel cards, students require a photo card and also they can apply for student discount rates. Cities have regular bus services but smaller towns may not. Internal flights may operate between major cities.

British people are generally reserved and value their privacy. It is customary to shake hands when meeting someone for the first time whether male or female. Other physical contact is generally avoided with anyone other than family and close friends.
